YHCCA Volunteers Celebrate Earth Day with Coyote Creek Cleanup

Reported by Anna Wang

On April 19, 2025, fifteen volunteers from YHCCA gathered at San Jose’s Coyote Creek to participate in an Earth Day cleanup. Coyote Creek is a vital waterway that supports diverse wildlife and plays an essential role in the health of the SF Bay Area local ecosystem.

The event served as a meaningful way to honor Earth Day, emphasizing the importance of preserving natural spaces for future generations. Our volunteers spent the morning collecting trash along the creek and surrounding areas. Our efforts helped restore the natural beauty of the area and maintain a clean, safe environment for both the community and local wildlife.

Beyond the environmental impact, the day offered a valuable opportunity to connect with nature, enjoy the outdoors, and reflect on our responsibility to protect our planet Earth.
