Self-introduction: My name is Chloe Xiao, and I am a 10th-grader at Valley Christian Highschool in California. While I’ve participated in a wide range of activities, all the way from skiing, piano, and gymnastics, the hobbies that have really stuck with me are drumming and running. Last year during my cross-country season, our school managed to receive second place during the regional championship, with my coaches even awarding me a ‘Most Outstanding’ award. And now, this is my second year participating in my schools PIE (Performing Indoor Ensemble). After we brought home a NCPA gold medal, our school qualified for the WGI Winds A Class Championship in Dayton Ohio. After many weeks of grueling 17-hour rehearsal weeks our school brought home the gold, having won both the preliminary, and final rounds against competitors from all around the US and even other countries.
