Self-introduction: My name is Catherine Wang, a 10th grader at Stratford Blackford Preparatory with a passion for art, healthcare, and animals. I particularly enjoy oil painting and exploring healthcare through my active engagement in HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America), where I focus on pharmacology and veterinary science research. Volunteering has always been close to my heart, as I believe even the smallest acts of service can create a meaningful impact. As an active volunteer at Mini Cat Town, a nonprofit organization that specializes in rescuing neonatal kittens. I care for foster cats and help them find their forever loving homes, an experience that has deepened both my love for animals and my commitment to compassion. Additionally, I’m an active member in my school’s Key Club, where I tutor younger students, lead charity drives, and organize community events. Volunteering has taught me that helping others not only strengthens communities but also inspires personal growth and empathy. I will continue giving back and collaborating with others to make a positive impact in the world around us.
