On June 10, 2024, YHCCA 12 members(Bryan Chen, Meiqi Digioia, Stewart Wang, Benjamin Li, Chloe Xiao, Enchun Wu, Michelle Ahl, Anna Chen, Mitee Su, Vincent Fu, Amelia Li, Adam Johnson) started the first leadership camp “American Youth Tell Hubei Stories with Cameras and Paintbrushes”. We visited some famous viewpoints in Wuhan and Xianning, Hubei, learned China history and culture. We explored famous viewpoints in Wuhan and Xianning while learning about Chinese history and culture. We captured the stunning scenery with our cameras and paintbrushes. At Enan High School and Chibi High School, we attended classes with local students, gaining insights into how Chinese teenagers study and the dedication they exhibit in high school. We also formed meaningful friendships with these students. This is an important first step in our mission: bringing Chinese culture back to America while sharing American culture with Chinese youth. The artworks created during this trip will be exhibited in the San Francisco Bay Area in Match of 2025, showcasing the beautiful scenery and the stories associated with each piece.
